Hello I am new here! Just move to Australia from a small town in Michigan in July and decided to continue the positive changes in my life by pursuing a caffeinated life. I have a passion for coffee and cooking and always dreamed of opening my own cafe. I completed my degree in accounting after years of working and going to school part-time only to realize sitting behind a desk crunching numbers is not going to make me happy, though I do have a passion for business and numbers. Here I am starting from scratch trying to learn about the industry and meet people who share the same interests. Being I am new to the country I do not know anyone outside my Husbands network of friends who are great, but I would love to meet new people who enjoy coffee as much as I do! My first step was to enroll in a Barista course, which is exciting to me ^-^. I have experience with stovetop espresso makers, drip coffee makers, and coffee press, so I think it's about time I learn! I've just received authorization to work and have just started looking for a job, I am hoping to find a job in a cafe, but it seems my background in office management is going to make it difficult to convince someone to take a chance on me.
