I have a great funnel, no mess, thanks KK! No buyers regret. The Robur is just big enough for home use and light at 62 pounds. Seriously it is weird that it works so well and is so easy to live with for home use. I sold the Kony to someone on CS and he loves it too. The compensation with these grinders is impeccable grind quality and they will last forever....well more or less. G Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
K_Bean_Coffee Very nice... and that’s a serious home grinder 🙂 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
InspectorGadget Simon wrote: Ah a beauty of a setup 🙂 Thanks. Very happy with it. KK gave me his funnel which means wastage is less than any other grinder I have owned. It is quick and quiet. The Wega Mini Nova Classic seems to be a well kept secret. Rotary and plumbed in. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Koffee_Kosmo Here is an update photo of my setup Keep in mind that the Strega is about 7 or 8 years old and still looking like new The Robur is a just over a month Custom PF and lever handles have served me well :thumb:

Both will still look just as good in ten years. Buy quality, not problems. G Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Simon I always worry about having the grinder near the machine, moisture etc, do you guys find this to be an issue at all with your setups? (Water jumping over onto the grinder?) Hence my setup being grinder on one end of the corner bench and the machine on the other haha.. It's probably easy enough to avoid and not really an issue having them side by side.. I see many and have worked in many cafes which have that setup

An espresso machine produces some steam but steam rises and dissipates quickly. The steam wand is on the opposite side from the grinder in my setup but I doubt if it would matter. I see many and have worked in many cafes which have that setup Never had an issue But I do take care and reduce any risk when releasing steam / water The system I use is to wrap a microfibre cloth over the steam wand and all steam is trapped inside it And for milk steaming - we’ll im very good at it - so no milk spots KK
Simon Ah okay fair enough, yeah for steaming but also for any splashback that may occur when purging water, cleaning grouphead etc, but that's great to know. Maybe I'm just messy XD. Am moving houses soon and this situation may arise :o 😉

Simon Ah nice, cheers will keep in mind 🙂. It's funny the idea of trying to keep water away from coffee/coffee grinds at all costs but then it's gonna have water specifically blasting through it in the end XD

I know right but I went and had a play with one at the local cafe and it’s too glorious in every respect. I was going to go all-out and get the electronica but keeping it fresh and efficient would be a challenge at home. I may yet remove the auto-stop assembly from the Robur for chute-sweeping but at this stage I’m happy to waste a few beans.
