After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
It costs thousands of dollars to purchase a roaster that roasts to the capacity of the KKTO It's simply the best value coffee roaster roaster - period - As I mentioned above that the kit is good value Even if one was starting a DIY build & finished to the same standard, and not using any part of the kit the cost difference is very minimal or may even exceed the cost to the kit

For the record my KKTO is going great guns and my roast results just seem to get better and better (and they were pretty good to start off with!)
Pat I have updated the roast methods and put them on a PDF The methods work with 98% repeatability All the information was gathered from my 300+ roasts in a 10 month period Also all the assembly & user guides have been adapted as well Regards KK
I started with a B&D popper until I 'killed it', then Corretto MKI for a couple of hundred roasts, then MKII for another 250 roasts and waiting on the arrival of my Torrefatore 2kg roaster--exciting times!!
Nothing like a shiny new toy to get the adrenalin pumping is it for commercial or home use Greenman?
It's for home use and supplying friends and friends of friends..........................should have it by the end of next week (fingers crossed)!!
sounds serious - I'm thinking of starting up - wondering whether to start small or go for something like this unit; would love to know how you find it. L

Have roasted 6 batches, started out with 300g then 600g and now onto 1.2kg, results have been pleasing, it has taken me a while to become accustomed to regulating the heat to follow a profile, since doing the larger batches the USB datalogger is giving accurate readings for me to use the roast monitoring software--things are looking good, have only wasted a couple of kgs on beans and I think I am well and truly on the right track now!! The viewing glass is great for keeping an eye on the roast, outer cooler is very efficient on the 1.2kg batch so should cool down the largest batch without too much fuss! Early days but I am more than pleased with Torre so far!
Recently I completed 300 roasts with the Koffee Kosmo roaster and its still going strong From observations the best thing I like the KKTO apart form excellent large capacity roasts is how clean it is to do the job The chaff removal is just brilliant KK
