We cupped this today, Trevor (greenman) roasted some up this morning at 6AM, we cupped it at 1pm then brewed it on Jono's new Kone V3.
Cupping, initial dry aroma was a bit cucumber'ish, with a sweet smell to it also. It cupped with notes of watermelon and dark fruits which stayed as it cooled down. It's not as complex as I thought it would be.
We brewed it:
Kone V3 (in a v60 because we didn't have a chemex handy):
100ml for 45sec bloom
add remaining 650gm over 3m30 period
brew until around 5min drip-through
Really heavy and bold cup. Less watermelon, far more dark fruits. Very nice to drink.
I'll probably be roasting my 1kg up just in to rolling 1st crack and enjoying on filter. Might roast 200gm for spro and see how that goes too
