My second batch has got away from me in the roasting and is really very dark.  Not unpleasant but alo not to my taste.  Nonetheless the watermelon flavour cuts through and is a pleasant surprise.

Cool!  It'll be interesting to read their tasting notes and compare to mine.

James,

Are you drinking this as a syphon or as cold press?  I assume 60sec into 1C would be too third world for espresso.

v60, aeropress, clever dripper. basically it's a filter roast. I wouldn't put this in a portafilter, it's too light.

Taste test of Wahana roasted to start of second crack
Roasted 8th January

Similar but muted wine flavours to the first light roast
A lot more balanced
A mild chocolate
Mild berry fruit yoghurt flavour ( hard to explain )

Thick body on the pallet

Overall its an extremely nice coffee
