Those of you who know me from CS know I have a staple supply of PNG Kimel.
I got my two bags so far from CoffeeCom after being introduced to them by Hazel.
They don't normally sell to the public.
I appreciate that they are willing to sell me a bag every couple of years.

The rest of my supply has been bought from CS and I have a few bags that I bought from a CS member when he was leaving to live overseas.
Some of his bags were obtained from other than CS.

I have bought from MG in the past as well.

I'm still trying to cut down my stash to a few favoured beans.
Stash is only about 80kg now; about 50kg of that is the Kimel.

Order is for idiots, genius can handle chaos.

That's crazy. I think I have about 30kg that I've built up, but not one bean I have more than 5kg of. I need to get me some more Limu though.

Question for those who buy from other places than CS, is the Gunna Limu Etho the same flavour profile as all the other Ethiopian Limu beans? That is by far my favourite bean.

So with all the dust still going on about Fair Trade and other so called Farmer assist packages...

What is important to you when it comes to getting ya greens ?

For me, when thinking of my coffee addiction it is; I want them now and I want X and I want it with min mucking about.

I should just drop around and pick up, but I still get it delivered from http://www.beangreen.com.au/

Anger on being a Lazy Slob.

Frankly I don't care about fair trade etc, but that's a discussion for another day. I care about consistency for one, but I think I'll honestly start getting them locally (<1km from my work) now. Ethiopian Limu for $10 a kg...and I know it's good quality as I've had it roasted from them (for reference, it is Chipironi Mountain Coffee). They roast for a lot of local businesses, so I can't really go wrong.

I don't want to buy from somewhere with a risk of getting a poor product, ever, so unless someone else has tried them out and gone to the trouble of letting me know (through here or otherwise) that it's decent I won't bother (ie I'd be happy to buy from KK or mycuppa, WOTB etc as I know they wouldn't risk their reputation).

Has anyone here ever bought greens from diBella? Apparently they offer a $7/kg discount to members of that other forum. What sort of price does that knock the per kg price down to (couldn't find greens on their web pages) and would it be worth pursuing a similar arrangement for Crema forum members as well?

I gotta get me some cloth bags with zippers.  WITHOUT a big stinking tiger picture on the front.

Keeps scaring people away.

It's hard getting the sort of quantities I want.  Too big for smaller players, too small for bigger players.  I also want to turn it over in a decent time.  Some I may cellar for evaluating at a later date (years down the track).  I wish half bags were the norm.

At $7/kg discount, they're not making a whole lot off it.

A lot of Sumatrans have a funky flavour
This flavour is mainly in the crema
I normally stir the crema in for a more pleasant cup

KK
Have to agree with you KK, way too earthy for my palate, greens from this part of the world are on my do not buy list. :)

Does anyone know if there is anyone that still has the Brazil Bourbon?  My OH loves this but I can't seem to find it anywhere now, or is there another bean that is very close to it?

Drop Jeff a line http://www.mycuppa.com.au/GreenBeans/ maybe give the Yellow bourbon a go and the Bukit Marante I have had as brown was a good one too if you want to try something different.

I have done an edit on the first post here to to reflect our sponsors that carry Greens too we currently have 4 and I am not sure if CosmoreX sells Green but Attilio might like to let us know.

Roasted a little from my WOTB basmati rice bag yesterday so I will report back in the brown section in a few days.

I had'nt planned on selling those greens RM, but the desperation in your plea was simply too hard to refuse...........and the flattery just made me weak at the knees.

Thanks Timbo - I know the Tanza is still a tad fresh, but I'm tasting some very intense blackberry from this Estate AA and it's a cracker. Let me know what you think.........

Does anyone know if there is anyone that still has the Brazil Bourbon?  My OH loves this but I can't seem to find it anywhere now, or is there another bean that is very close to it?

SS, there is a small amount of BZL YB left - we don't really sell greens as a focus actually, but you are more than welcome to grab some - always happy to help out folks in need. This BZL YB is naturally pulped and has a very clean and sweet cup - it can also handle darker roasts if you are seeking caramel and hazelnut notes.

Some other BZL naturally pulped beans will taste very similar or equal to this BZL YB. We do have some very special Brazil that was prepared for the Japanese Premium market - sun dried, raised bed, stabilized in wooden vats for 3 months prior to shipment - very nice - but that's just teasing so I will stop there !.

Thanks Jeff, yes it is something that I roast darker than what I normally would but my OH really does like this, we were discussing what was the best cup that I'd given him so far and it was a while ago but yes it was the Bourbon that has been roasted dark.

The other one sounds interesting too.

Mmmmm blackberry, now I didn't see any of that on your website :D

Can't wait to roast them, but gotta work through the samples you sent me first! :D

I'll promise not to share so noone knows what you let go :)

Has anyone ever ordered green beans from Sweet Marias?

I always thought that quarantine may not allow them into Australia
So I have never tried

KK that's why I thought I'd ask, I swear I've seen someone say that they ordered from there, have no idea where but it was an Australian saying it.
