As part of the Coffee Expo, Salvatore Malatesta, owner of the St Ali Group, will present a session on brand creation and empire building and participants can attend a full day course exploring coffee from Seed to Cup. The program also includes finding a career in coffee with Ross Quail, General Manager of the St Ali Group of Companies, as well as an educational session discovering roasting methods for alternative brewing with Sensory Lab Roaster Joe Tynan.

Having worked wih Salvatore in an operational capacity for several years and having co-owned a business venture with him I can affirm that he is an interesting and intreaging bloke with his finger on the coffee pulse world-wide! And the guy has definitely started from scratch to build a rapidly expanding coffee empire which spans the globe

And Ross is a great bloke I have fond memories of him from when he was my roaster from his Jasper Coffee days - its a very tempting offer to attend this training opportunity - one which I would consider coming back from holidays for - but then again, I'd be in untold trouble with the Mrs if I did and there's only so long you can sleep in the dog box for!
