While I've been on Home-Barista for quite some time, I came across this friendly spot while searching for a GS, and found Ronin up to his elbows restoring one. Right now, I'm living vicariously through his posts, trusting that a suitable machine will come my way when the planets align.
I'm in San Francisco and have great memories of spending time in Melbourne many years ago on a few business trips. Past my first "real" Guinness, a pair of R.M. Williams that fit like a glove and lasted me a decade, and the great hospitality, my most vivid memory is waking up, horribly jet-lagged, and making it to breakfast. There I could get with my eggs either bacon or "lamb cutlets." Little did I expect what I'm used to calling "prime lamb chops" as a side dish! I was sold...
Over the years, I've been through a range of equipment, with the current stable being mainly a K10, Bunn G2, Quick Mill Anita, La Pavoni Professional, and a not-quite-dialed-in Quest M3 roaster. Our Poodles love foam, and I'm hoping to get them to learn how to pull shots next.
Please forgive the hours of my posts or tardy replies, I'm clearly in the wrong time zone.
Thanks for the welcome,
