After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

  • If my superannuation managed fund has Woolworth's as an investment So by proxy?  does that make me - part owner of this new venture  :tearhair: KK
  • And these masters stores are supposed to be taking over Australia too.  Maybe they could save some cash and build the new stores over a McDonalds!  That would be great, do hardware shopping with family, and keep the kids happy with a McHappy meal!  :thumb: Might make Bunnings pickup there game.  They still have the instant dispenser full of stale instant at our new store, and a super auto chucking out jugachinos.  McD coffee would be a step up I think!
  • I dunno. When I go to Bunnings with concrete dust in my hair, sporting my paint encrusted clothes and steel caps held together with liquid nails... I don't want some clown distracting me! I go with a purpose and the more Yummy-Mummy types I can put off with my owner-builder's stench and industrial strength flatulence the better!  There are some spots ya just not s'possed to sip a latte and he hardware store is one of em!  I have done heaps of off-siding and plenty of my own projects for us, family and friends and a good espresso at smoko is just the ticket.  Hardware runs ruin the work-flow and are a general pain the arse. Slow them down further and the job will take longer than ya licence is good for. And don't get me started on Masters.  The place exists because Woolies has got the sh!ts with Wesfarmers and it's laid out so every idiot with half a clue thinks they are Scott Celebrity Builder and can renovate/redecorate their homes using Chinese made pretend tools, faux fixtures and un-fittings. Their sole purpose is to take profit share from Wesfarmers and fill our emergency wards with moderately seriously injured well-meaning Dads, who would be better off taking the kids to the beach and canceling their wife's subscription to McMansion Beautiful.  Sell WOW, buy WES! Here endeth the lesson!
  • You got a OB project on the go Brett ? Dont worry about the expiry date (18 months) on the OB licence, no one really cares and I'm yet to meet one OB that has finished on time
