After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Probably worth it just for the pole saw. I see 6 of the 8 attachments are whipper snipper like attchments and Ive never had the need for any of those blades of death. I think your average suburban joe would have no use for them either. But the pole saw - gold. As for the particular brand, well it aint no Shindawa but at 1/10th of the price who cares
I have a shindaiwa whipper snipper, so priced a hedge trimmer attachment. Couldn't believe they were over $400! I guess they have their market, so one of these would probably be sufficient.

That's exactly what I was thinking RM. The motor units of the big brands being circa $500 is fair enough. To have a similarities on attachments is where I lost interest. I dont expect the thing to work 5 days a week however the trade tools version is according to them capable. Even 4 times a year is pushing it for me. I'd appreciate any owner feedback AM. Thanks guys!
You may want to do some research on the vendor - lots of interesting reading, particularly on whirlpool. I'm currently looking for a block splitter and was amazed at the prices - even after my research the prices are almost cheap enough to make you take the chance. Luckily the other advice I found was that the small electric ones (ie. < 2400W) can't generate enough pressure to split difficult wood anyway - unfortunately I've got lots of wood that is @#$%! difficult to split by hand :tearhair:
