After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Usually, a coffee roaster starts small. Whether it

  • Wow, great article! Collaboration is definitely the way to go for boutique rosters, sharing knowledge and resources ~ makes good sense to me I know many roasters in Melbourne pull resources when it comes to cupping, group buying, and even sharing roasting origins ,"secrets" ~ which would`ve been unheard of even buy so long ago!
  • And of course, someone has to play the devils adviocate.... Being a successful business owner / coffee bean reseller business, doth not a coffee roaster make. I can resell a screw driver, but that doesnt mean I know how to manufature the screw driver. The trouble with a lot of new age roasters and or the marketing spin that seems to surround them, is that they would have us believe they became instant coffee roasters. Commercial Coffee Roasting is like any other professional trade and requires many years work, and to say anything else is to devalue the profession of coffee roasting. What of the clients, who have been used to purchasing a certain standard of roasted beans roasted for these two reseller companies, by experienced subcontract coffee roasters. Are these two companies going to be able to substitute their new product, as roasted by them straight into the line up? The same standard of roasted beans as previous, straight up? Its a fantastic article that will have consumers flying into New York from all over to sample the new offerings, just beware to read between the lines and / or not to let the romance of a good article cloud your mind as to the realities of life. And......I need the marketing company that wrote the article, working for me  ;) great job (the article).
