After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

New machine in the game ?

edited October 2014 in Espresso Machines
It seems there is a new commercial machine  emerging from somewhere in north Sydney !
Espresso Deck is the name and it is quite an interesting new look for a commercial unit with the bulk of the machine being mounted under the counter top..

  • At least you might be able to see what's going on when they are making a coffee!  But is the coffee any good?

I don't mind the look and design of that concept However I will look at the site and make more comment if it qualifies as a saleable asset KK
  • A few manufacturers are taking this approach based on ascetics, just wonder about the length of the delivery piping and possible effect on standing water? Chester
  • A little more digging around the Espresso Deck site and a vague link to " Espressomachines .com.au"  a commercial equipment supplier and roaster (9 Bar espresso ?) who just also happen to be located in that Manley area !   Does anyone have contacts with them to confirm and get more info ?

On the whois on the website, it's Jason Marks - the same guy who owns http://www.9barcoffee.com/ and http://www.espressomachines.com.au/ , so it's definitely them pushing it/making it. 9barespressoservices.com.au, however, appears to be a different company owned by Veneziano in Victoria.
  • I love the aesthetics but I imagine it'd be extra painful to service.
  • Bravo! this is clearly the future happy it was Australian but where are the levers?

I believe they are foot operated levers. Quite a breakthrough as it leaves the hands free for milk stretching etc, much improved efficiency and throughput.
  • revolutionary!  :thumb: why should we look at the big box?    surely they would also provide easy service access down-under that reminds be of a joke; what is an "Aussie kiss"? answer;  same as a French kiss but done "down Under"
