Rightyo. Overwhelming support for the 14th so I'm going with that! Date: 14th July 2012 Location: (Please PM me (Lacehim) so that I know who's coming/numbers and I will supply address and phone number just in case you get lost!) Time: 10am to 2pm (hopefully that will suit you Brisbane people) Bring along anything you wish to show and tell (please please bring your lever AM, I would love to see it and have a try). If you can bring some milk if you like it milky, a plate of something nice to share, or some pizza toppings if you fancy something fancy.

I'll supply the pizza's, I've roasted some coffee, but feel free to bring something along if you want to try it on the Lusso or AM's machine. If you want to try a KKTO, bring some green and we can roast it up as a demo. If anyone is interest I'll be happy to let you have a go on my KKTO. As previously noted, kids are more then welcome. We will be outside, but have a small cubby, swing set. Fingers crossed for good weather!

I was considering posting up on CS, but the social thread seems to have 'disappeared'. Maybe they don't want their members getting out into the real world? :angel: I might PM a few that I know, but then again I posted for a social there in the past and had a party on my own! :'(

All sussed, Lacehim - all good to post it in the General Coffee area...The Social Snobs wasn't removed to discourage get-togethers, just because it was so under utilised so it was decided to just move it to General Coffee Related instead. Cheers Di

Excellent. I normally ignore the weather man but when it comes to the sunny coast, it gets more than its share of rain. Its like a rain magnet up there :D

Does your PF have the 2 little slots in the top rim Kelsey ? Sooooo, what pizza toppings are people bringing ? I was going to keep it simple but since I haven't gone shopping its going to be really simple - bacon and cheese :rofl: :rofl: I assume that bacon would cook in the oven

Yep thats them. You cant use the AM style pressure gauge on the bottom of those PF's. We rooted around and got one of AM's other PF's to fit well enough to give us a semi decent reading but it still leaked. Chris has a service one that has no slots but I dont think he would be keen to lend it out with all the 9 bar vs factory setting talk. Then again, never know unless you ask :D Bit of a bugger those slots too. On mine I must get a tiny bit of extraction that comes back up the side of the basket and runs out the slot down the side of the PF. Thought my seal was leaking at first

I have the old PF which is groove less. Haven't tried it in the new machine however.

I'm very tempted to head up the coast in the morning.... I'll probly leave Springwood bout 8.00ish and if someone wants to car pool I'm happy to pick you up and drop off later in the day. I'll be in the work ute so you can load up the back with as much coffee bling as you like... Enough room for the kitchen sink... Should be fun... OG
