After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

2nd machine for small cafe

I have a Gaggia Deco machine and because I am in a remote area (absolutely no service) I want to buy a second machine. Currently we use a two group and would be happy to stay with the two group with a budget of max $6,000. Not totally happy with the Gaggia so would appreciate any ideas. Have a good price on a Nuova Simonelli Appia. Anyone know if they're any good.

    I would be happy to offer one of our BFC (Diadema or LIRA model) machines. They are an excellent HX design using E61 type groups. They perform with plenty of steam and excellent espresso. Your remote location with no service presumably means you are "handy" and have to service and repair things yourself and if so, it wont be arduos for our technical section to talk you through any service difficuties that may arise over time. You will require proper water filtration for your area ( no matter what you may purchase). If there is any interest please dont hesitate to send a PM and I will flick it to my relevant staff to handle.

    What's the 2nd machine for? To replace the first one or to work alongside it?  A lever machine could be avoid talking point and they make great coffee !
