After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

  • Its not new, nevertheless sorry to say, one of the many gimmicks in the huge arsenal of BS used by some to win custom away from other businesses. ;D
  • Ah, ok. Clearly I don't get out enough . I guess it is a bit like the milkshakes served with a doughnut on top and a syringe full of chocolate sauce on the side  :pan.
  • My guess is that the doughnut is to satisfy the blokes .. and the chocky sauce is aimed at the Gals.
  • I often put a shot of hot water on the side of a long black especially if I'm not sure of a customer's preferred strength - but I would never ever deconstruct a latte!
  • I don't know whether to be outraged or impressed.  I can't help thinking that someone somewhere is having a giant laugh!

I'll put my money on the latter Brett. Something that would/could be served up on April 1st

    Now there's a thought.....
  • I heard the manager interviewed today. She was served a long mac. It's how it comes. Allows the customer to choose the ratio of water milk espresso....... Still hipster but at least it isn't a deconstructed flat white!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  • Storm in a teacup I'm afraid. In my opinion, this frenzy is just another internet-generated nothing story on a slow news week dominated by a boring election campaign and vapid claims of housing market bubbles .......... Ironically, it was quoted by a recently unemployed blogger/editor of a trashy online gossip site. Looks more like a carefully crafted PR exercise designed for maximum exposure of the "blogger" and her mugshot (interesting that her face was plastered everywhere)......even with-holding the name of the "cafe" was intended to create more intrigue and generate more "discussion".

    Coffee cup?

    Intended of course.

Election campaign? Here in Oz?  :stir Now you've spoiled it for me. I was intentionally keeping my Trump card up my sleeve on this. After all, the news and current affairs media is just there to report on a "nothing story", irrelevant to our life and proceed to blow it out of proportion for days just to keep us distracted from what's really going on.  :head:
  • I'm sure we'll have another non-story next week. It got people talking though  :coffee2:.
  • Ill occasionally put milk on the side of a long mack depending on the circumstances, but Id never under any circumstances (unless requested) put hot water in a long mac - also splitting a drink into three cups, isnt it going to be cold by the time its served?
