After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Looking for Perth Barista training

Any forum members have any ideas on Barista training in Perth. Bit of a perfectionist and looking for the right training and experience to move into the industry. Like everyone here I have a passion for coffee and would like to find the right training course.

As new to Perth my knowledge of local coffee houses is limited. If anyone knows a place that really takes pride in their product I would love to hear about them.

    Over the past 3 months we have received a number of emails asking the same question. Maybe if there is a recognised coffee training company in Perth they could let us all know. John

    If you want a place that really cares about their coffee go to Core espresso and ask Corey if he can point you in the right direction.

    Just seconding what NZ has said. Ben, one of the guys working at Core, is training for barista comps. Corey is devoted to making great coffee. If I lived in Perth I'd be hassling him for a job

    I know this is an old posting. But I know of another Barista training in Perth Bellissimo Imports are the main suppliers/trainers for Cappuccino Xpress they do fantastic Barista training http://www.bellissimoimports.com

    Hi Madhatter Im a roaster form interstate, now in Perth and I can assure you that Ben at the WA Barista Academy is without question the man for the job. He's at the same level as the top baristas in the East. I did some of the better known courses in Sydney and in many respects he's better. Really good equipment there for you to learn on too, instead of the usual hand me downs.
