After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

eatmedia? advertising on coffee cups

edited January 1970 in Have your say
What do you guys think about this company eatmedia?
they put ads on coffee cups and then give the cups for free and pay us per cup.
I have a coffee cart in sydney and i'm thinking of joining as the thought of no longer paying for my cups is quite good.

  • have you seen the quality of the cups? i mean i'm sure they have their place but it pays to shop around.  i've got my own logo on my cups, produced by "the coffee cup company" - and they still cost me less than half what I was paying with another supplier cheers, pat
  • Just when you thought most advertising space had been rented out/claimed/made/utilised some one thinks of a new opportunity, Sounds good as long as you don't end up with cups advertising political party's or heamoroid cream. I wonder why some one hasn't put ads onto diner plates yet?
  • There's a Melbourne roaster that's been advertising Vega FM on their own branded, take away cups for quite some time already  ;)

well the guy told me and showed me all the artworks of the cups which are comming up and i get to tell him which ones i dont want. I have a lot of Telstra customers and i wont be using any other of telstra competitors. He had vodafone cups which i wont be taking he is comming back tomorrow so i'll let you know how i went.
  • hey im using these guys eatmedia and i have been getting cups for free for about 4 weeks now. they even gave me a cheque for using the cups (cant say how much becuase i dont know if everyone gets the same deal  :-X) They use the double air insulated cup, i used to use the detpak ripple cups and they are heaps expensive... then i got the similar ripple cup from foodpak which is much cheaper but the cups stick to each other, but at the moment not having to pay for cups is saving me a heap. they don't always give free cups i had to wait SIX WEEKS before i was getting them. their first delivery was lost but now they know where i am i get cups each week untill the next break which is next month.   oh and for some reason thier cups come in boxes of 400 and the lids in 1000???? so i have a heap of lids in storage. hope this helps guys liana
  • Personaly i rather pay for cups, so that when customers buy their drinks and walk around they have your brand on it and its advertising your company instead of some one elses.
  • Hey Guys, Brendan here from eatmedia! I found the Crema Magazine whilst searching for eatmedia in google. Well Done Crema! Basically we provide free take away coffee cups to cafes and coffee outlets all around australia. The reason why these cups are free is because they are sponsored different advertisers. We see our advertising medium as an environmentally friendly way to advertise... How? because consumers are going to by coffee from you guys in takeaway coffee cups regardless. So effectively we are giving the coffee cups a second application. I would like to thank all you guys for your support and if there is anything i can do to help or any questions i can answer please do not hesitate ask.
