After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

New Coffee Outlet

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking at setting up a new cafe kiosk in NSW and would like to know if any knows a good shopfitter. Also what are your opinions on coffee outlets in building lobbies. Thanks heaps

  • Re: "...what are your opinions on coffee outlets in building lobbies...." Very good idea, usually get good business from such locations AND they are usually only nice 5 day a week operations so you get some quality time at home on weekends so good quality of life BUT....you are reliant on what happens with tenancies in the building and therefore the location of your operation. For example, in Canberra where a lot of buildings house public service offices, you can be riding high on the crest of the wave for a couple or more years, then next thing you know the tenant moves out for 9 months while the entire building is refurbished....this can break you if you are not solid and or dont have other interests to keep you going. OR, they move an entire floor or three out for a refurb, minimising your client base, and keep doing this on rotation over a period of years... I think its a good idea to get some "guarantees" from the  landlords about the future of the site during your propoed tenancy, before signing your own lease. Regardz, FC.
