After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Interest Free Terms

I'm wanting to upgrade my home machine and spend around $2500 - my old faithful Gaggia Classic is coughing and spluttering it's way to the finish line which is well within site.

I'm looking at machines like Vibiemma Domobar Super, ECM Giotto, Isomac Mondial, Expobar Barista Minore, Unico Splendor.

Does anyone do interest free terms - ie: 18 months or 2 years?  Can travel for pick-up.

    doubt it, that is the realm of hardly normal and co. Might just have to save up your bickies or find a low interest credit card.

    Someone actually pays for the interest Sometimes its the customer with a higher mark up price Sometimes its the retailer in lieu of a discount Best to get a small loan and pay it off quick KK

    silverchef also have hire-to-buy terms - I got my Mazzer Robur from them but ended up buying it outright as it worked out to be too costly otherwise you might also want to consider a second hand single group commercial  machine from the bay of evil - I've had a number of prosumer products that worked very well but my ten year old Rancillio S24 still outperforms all of them (helps that its had a rebuild) For around $1000 to $1200 you can get yourself a pretty decent machine (and sometimes for much less) - mine has a built in refilliable water tank as well as the option of being plumbed in I'd also be looking at the Sunbeam Em69810 - which has had some service issues but by all accounts excellent aftersales service - it looks good and does the job and the nearest comparable machine (in my opinion) is easily twice the price!

    I was going to suggest Silver Chef but I was of the impression that they only give hire terms to business customers KK

    also I think that the minimum purchase with silverchef is $2k - so if you get that on hire terms you're prob still looking at min $3k when all is said and done
