After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

HT or what

So, the HT. Any good? I'm seriously considering one, but it would have to be second hand. Where did you score yours? How much did you pay for it?
Glad you sold the DCM. Sounds like you still need to have a clear out.

Miss teh DCM but the new owner made a hard choice... GS3 or DCM :o
Size / Functionality / Cost / SHMBO = DCM all teh way...
As to the HT....
I use mine rarely and more often to show / demonstrate the pros and cons of teh KKTO.
I paid $850 plus for my first one and that was a newer model (N?) not a B or P.
This one I got for postage costs, from another coffee person. Mind you I had to strip and rewire and get it working.
The B model I think is the best of teh HT's but they are expensive if one looks at Volume etc of beans that it can do. In addition, the HT does give a output not unlike the bigger roasters and hence Di Bella and others use as a test roaster. BUT there are things you have to manage...
You have to watch and be exact with ya bean weights... You set a time and it attempts to manage an internal profile and as such manages the fan and heat. In an ideal world = good. However it is no so. Thus one has to manually manage Air flow, and do your best as you can not change or extend times once it's present is reached. Thus I have had more fails with teh HT due to slackness on my part.
The KKTO... Only fails is when I let them go to dark. All other fails is due to teh wrong bean blend = USER.

A few on ebay in teh USA or other roasting places but rare...
