I'm trying to understand better how coffee machines work.
Can anyone help me with an internal diagram of how either HX, Dual boiler E61 group heads and dual boiler with saturated groups work please?

Probably most interested in the saturated groups tho.
The engineer in me has peaked it's curiosity

1: What is you current level of understanding and in how much detail ie. Graphical understanding OR the compound mathematics that are involved ? Cuttently an Engineering Patternmaker with 15 yrs expierence. Google is your friend for this it not familliar How long is a piece of string ? Too Long 2: Is you interest about a better understanding or deeper ? Was thinking of making one for myself, dream machine if you will. Long road ahead here I know. Thanks for the links. Need time to mull it over

Highly recommend you start here for an understanding of HX and boiler systems in domestic machines http://www.home-barista.com/hx-love.html and also the E61 internals here http://www.home-barista.com/espresso-machines/e61-group-espresso-machine-detailed-interior-schematics-t397.html Dual boilers come in a large range of types from where one boiler feeds the water for the brew boiler past the steam boiler to preheat it (Minore 3 I think) to the totally independant boiler systems such as in the commercial machines.
