After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Note to self...

Experimentation should probably done with a notebook, measuring tools and done over the course of days and weeks rather than a whole bunch of coffees in one morning....

Everything's so bright and shiny...... :o

Yes thats true Taking notes is a good habit But rules are meant to be broken  :D sometimes KK
  • I think I made myself a little ill this morning. Must figure out a good way of making notes. Some would say paper and pencil. To them I say 'Pshaw!'. There's an app for that (or should be).
  • You can certainly add notes in the coffeeroaster app I use on my phone. :)
  • There also seems to be a 'coffee cupping' app, but doesn't look to have a lot of note-taking options. I guess I'd also have to familiarise myself with the 'scaa' analysis method they use. Is that something a relative pleb like myself could pick up and use?
  • The SCAA charts or similar are not that bad once you have done a couple of coffee cuppings. In Melbourne these sessions are held by some of the roasters as open public events and AM and KK should be able to help out with the Brisbane options. There is also some more simple coffee tasting sheets around on the net and a few old school Database things to play with. If your back in Melbourne sometime Market Lane and 7Seeds are a couple of my regulars ones for public cuppings but check which days they are on.
