After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

If any one has requests some sort of post should be done for the benefit of others and that important info does not get lost....

Yes a few others have been gifted a handle, but all in all it has been about sharing and learning...

Right now I need to retire and then I could actually try to focus and do thing correctly rather than in the fly.  Then again it is a hobby and if it turns to being a job, it will loose the attraction.

I want a new set for my Minore III in a dark timber or maybe zebra wood or even better some Cocobolo AND I want to make a PF home station....

Then I need an old Lever or maybe a Strega...

  • I guess I better whack a piccy up
  • Ok. BZ99S with AM PF handle.
  • It is all so very good.  Marc's handle and Tamper are to die for!!!!  I too have wanted to commission the busiest man on the north side for handles, water and steam knobs and a lever knob but first I want to explore having a go myself of doing some in petrified wood or Agate.  My cabbing gear isn't really up to the challenge of a handle because I'd reckon you have to tumble something that large and my tumber is a smaller vibe tumbler.  DB would know the best techniques but my worry is that whatever I do won't be repeatable without great consumable expense for the home lapidarist.  Back on topic they all look amazing AM!  Truly amazing!
  • Those are some really nice examples there. The various timbers have all come up wonderfully.
