After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Yep, all the rain and after all the work on the roof... The seal around the firplace flue has decided to crack and let water dribble in and down the flue.
1: Trying to plug from under neath, does not work as there are layers of flashing :tearhair:
2: Water dripping slowly down and on to fireplace, is not observed by old blind ment that keep spending time down stairs trying to see if chat works :stir
3: Water sitting on a old solid combustion stove causes lots of oxidation :pan
4: Don't toss the nearest towel on it and then think about the fact that it was a white towel; after the fact
5: What is the best sealant that can be applied to a very wet surface and still adhear and set ?
Now, chat would have given me the answer in a couple of minutes...
