After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Time to go LED
Recently bought a 5 metre flexible strip of LEDs on ebay for next to nothing, so now I have to find ways,to use them up.
First mini project - convert an old us 110v fluorescent light I got when my local bar changed hands. It had been sitting unused for 15 years.
30 min job and most of that was drilling out pop rivets used to hold the fluoro parts in place.
Runs off a 12 volt 1 amp plug pack I had lying around. 7 watt consumption.
Wonder what I should do with the other 255 LEDs.
