After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

do articles like this give anyone else the sh#ts?

  • Yes, but lets keep the good gear our little secret. ;)
  • actually take a look at the video at the end of the article ... looks like the guy is serious, but it's so cringeworthy, it's hilarious!! 8)
  • they obviously know something we dont! haha
  • I can't believe anyone spends that amount of coin on a cupofcino machine!
  • Awww c'mon Brett, it does have the cool blue light that make it look great at night in the kitchen  At least it comes with "fill yer own" basket. Agree with AM though about the geek factor turning people off good gear. There is a big difference between having good gear and understanding how to use it and being a OCD anal fanatic that weighs to 1/10th of a gram and stirs 5 times clockwise and three anti clockwise and pass their routine off as gospel. I guess its like anything though, the more your are exposed your more you learn and the more you learn the better the understanding. Once one has the understanding you can wade through all the shit and do your own thing. I would assume that with the correct knowledge there is only one choice. That been said, I can only conclude that pod lovers have not been suitably educated in coffee or just dont care ( which is fine too) enough to learn more and take the next step. Each to their own. I really must stop verbally thrashing friends and rellies that buy pod machines. I shall mock in silence, from the corner.  :D

  • You know guys today I was with a client, on site. They offered me a coffee and were raving about the sensational coffee they create.... You see they 'discovered' DiBella fresh roasted beans... Every couple of weeks they go for their drive to get fresh roasted beans... From here it's all downhill... They grind enough coffee to last 3-4 days at one go in their Kmart hand grinder... Then the coffee is put through the dripolator on the stove- once only, in the morning.... Thoroughly stewed coffee.... It gets better... Then for coffee through the day they simply microwave heat a cup of the morning 'stew'.... Add milk, sugar to taste... and away you go.... I tried not to grimace noticeably as I poured this concoction down my gullet... I don't know what the moral of the story is- but I simply didn't have the heart to shatter their coffee dream..... They love it! They rave about how good it is! OG
  • Moral of the story is - Its ok to lie to save people's feelings - depending on the size of the lie and whether you care about the person's feelings or not
