After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

  • Way an awesome job!  Very cool.  I admire the guys with the skill to do these sorts of mods and clearly, with the machine out of action for a while a secondary coffee source must be found!  Perhaps his Clever Coffee Dripper is in Mensa!
  • I have the Silvia V3 I got back in 2010. I love her to bits but I do, at some stage when funds allow, want to pimp her out. Either that or I go big and spend lots on a new machine around $3k to $4k plus grinder. This option would be further away unfortunately. Love your mods mate. They look amazing. Really breathed new life into what really is a wonderful machine.
  • They can be a great machine with a PID.  It's just a shame for the price they charge that it's not included these days!  Instead they concentrate on putting leather skins and stuff on the outside to make it look pretty and charge more! :( An upgrade to a HX would be better.  Low water level protection is something that the Silvia range lacks sadly and it bites many owners in the bum, especially when friends and family have a go on their machine.
