I am in a flood prone Brisbane riverside suburb but have not gone under both in 1974 and 2011 This time around in 2013 it has been the intense and plentiful rain that is the culprit I hope others a faring well but I know that much flooding and wind damage has occurred in Bunderberg and surrounds KK

We are high and dry, and we really feel for the poor folk going through this again. I just wish the idiots of this world would stay indoors for the next few days instead of endangering their lifes, and the poor buggers that have to save them! I does amaze me however how little has been done since the last flood by the people in power.  Yes homes were rebuilt etc, but there doesn't seem to have been any prevention or management from either governments and Wivenhoe is still being miss managed.

Big tree down in our side yard.  My chainsaw and petrol mulcher got a good workout.  Work cancelled tomorrow so Ill get it moped up then.  Scary how much damage it caused.. Thank heaven it missed ours and the neighbour's homes.

I hope so, the turkey nest was our fall back if the house blew away!!  Tree in lots of little pieces noes thanks to my chainsaw and big-arsed petrol mulcher.  Ah trade tools direct... How I love thee!
