After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Coffee roasting comps/tasting
After seeing the results between a few roasting competitions I was left wondering if a bit of it is random.
A roaster does poorly in one comp and better in another with the same blend/bean... well maybe the same.
Also having bought some of the winning blends/beans the same thought occurred (if the roaster actually entered the same as what the sell?). Some were excellent, some horrid, some good.
Or maybe it is my palate?
And then this article sparked this post from me:

Could the same be happening in the coffee industry? Should then the results of a competition then be taken, at best, with a grain of salt?
