After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Technical help fixing a Krups Orchestro please?

edited January 1970 in Espresso Machines
Hello,

I have had a Krups Orchestro for about 30 months and one of the rubber gaskets on the bottom of the brewing chamber has broken. I know this because I've taken the lid off and looked inside and I can see one end of the gasket sticking out. But after about 30 minutes of careful examination, I can't work out how to access the brewing chamber to effect a repair. I'm quite mechanically adept but this has me stumped.

Has anyone here attempted (and preferably been successful!) repairing a Krups Orchestro (or any of the other similar Jura-style machines)? Are there any manuals or diagrams available? I'm also enquiring with an authorised Krups repairer but I'm sure the cost will be almost like buying another one on eBay.

All help gratefully accepted.

:)

  • I also have an orchestro and need to replace a seal. Did you ever find any information on this. How did you get the top cover off. the top and sides are riveted to the back and I can't see how to remove. I can just pry the top and side and peel inside. Thanks, Jeff :)
