After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Tap tip.

Taps, hot water and steam, when turning them off, don't wring the chickens neck i.e. use brute force, there is no need, just nip them up lightly, places much less strain on the assembly and washers/valves.

Your taps will last a lot longer without starting to drip or leak steam, if its leaking its time for maintenance.

I'm sure most are aware of this, however if the tip is of use to only one person then I guess it was worth posting. :)
