After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Great thread folks. Having just read it through from go to whoa and with only trying pre-blend roasts just a few times in my roasting history, can't recall that the results were anything outstanding and stayed with roasting SO's and post blending. However, since recently reading Scott Rao's Coffee Roaster's Companion and this thread, plan to go down that road (soon) again. He recommends; Blending the green coffees a few days before to equalize the moisture contents; Use beans of a similar size and density; And of the same processing type (ie: washed or natural). :thumb:
That's some interesting information there Kevohere, might add that to the to do list of roasts ;D Working out the density could be the interesting part though!
