After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Just chilling and listening to my fav album

  • I have no idea.  Wow, a record player.  How retro.  Very nice!  Did you get the record player that also reads and writes to USB sticks?  :pan Seriously: very cool!

Hi Brett. No USB recording. Just a solid unit with a great cartridge and an external power supply. :)

Home, home again I like to be here when I can When I come home cold and tired It's good to warm my bones beside the fire Far away, across the field The tolling of the iron bell Calls the faithful to their knees To hear the softly spoken magic spell
  • i met Pink Floyd the band (minus roger waters but that's ok because Syd Barrett was always my favourite) - at the Corner Hotel in Richmond after one of their gigs - they reformed as 'The Fishermen' at 1am and kept playing for several hours!
  • Play Pink Floyd often on Vinyl and CD Playing one of these now > KK

  • Golly .. there were some amazing Guitarists .. but for sitting back and enjoying the journey .. David Gilmour's playing was magical. My favourite Guitarists (in no order) Allan Holdsworth (Jazz Fusion) Larry Carlton (Jazz Fusion) Jimmy Hendrix Al Di Meola (Jazz) John McLaughlin (Jazz) Garry Moore (Blues) Carlos Santana *Loved Joe Walsh (& co-guitarist) for Hotel California .. perfection.

Gilmore is a legend. His work on crazy diamond the way he recorded his instruments in the larger studio to get some reverb sounded bloody unreal when put together with the rest of the track. Have you watched this:

there are a few more floyd movies/docos. These are the ones I have in my library. I'm sure they are on YouTube somewhere.
  • I've always thought the rhythm section, Nick Mason and Roger Waters was the best going around .. in a way that the beat along with Bass could hold it together on their own and feel musically complete as it pulsed along. Imho, nobody could do it with as much style as these two musos.
