Windows 10

I have been using windows 10 for a few months now and I hated the adds that kept popping up everywhere. They were actually slowing opening of pages down it was appalling, till I found adfender which is simple to down load and works very well. I just thought I would pass this on, pages download quickly now without me pulling my hair out any more.

sounds more like an infection than a Windows 10 issue.  What sort of Ads?  Try running http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ on your computer.  I would also back it up with a run of Malwarebytes and check it finally with hitmanpro to make sure it's all gone. Personally I really think Microsoft dropped the ball on this one.  I've had so many customers complaining about slow computers after upgrading, the start menu is slow to open and gets stuck, the search is slow.  I'm staying with Windows 7!!!  I really wouldn't suggest anyone upgrades, it's only an operating system and about as fun as watching paint dry.

I'm loving Windows 10 and am ready to make to move back to Windows from iOS!  Big call eh!

No comment except that I've been a beta tester of OSX and iOS for years and I still think their betas are better (speed, stability and usability) than Windows 10 release that runs on my wife's computer. This is my own opinion being totally subjective. It's based on a qualitative analysis.

        I have been running malware bytes pro for a year  now and it is fantastic, the support even on the free version is fast and helpful. I now just use this and windows defender. I don't use any other anti virus soft ware as I have found them all to have hopeless support and the last one I had was bitdefender which I got no help from when some virus took over my opening page and I could not get rid of it. The free version of malware bytes support sorted in 2 emails, so I bought the pro version . I have no ads running on 10 now with this simple program from adfender. The reason I upgraded from windows 7pro was no matter what I tried I could not get flash player even with the help of those far more pc literate than me and I tried for months. 10 works for me better than 7pro. I know lots of people seem to have problems with it but it works better for me

"10 works for me better than 7pro. I know lots of people seem to have problems with it" Not my experience Mallacoota, the majority of people I have spoken to re W10 are getting on well with it. I've been running 10 for a while now with Defender as my security, it loads fast (very fast) certainly don't see any ads, I've been using Windows since W95, as far as I'm concerned this is their best operating system ever. As far as people having problems, some have the knack of stuffing things up regardless of how unbreakable they are, and, I suspect a lot are trying to run W10 on older machines that are simply not up to the task.

Where were you getting advertisements? On YouTube? If so this is quite common. I use Firefox and there is an 'addon' for it which stops them (AddBlock Plus).
