After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Myanmar (Burma) beans

Has anyone had the opportunity to roast/cup any of the greens coming out of Myanmar ? A recent cupping Comp also had scores around high 80's . It seems to be really improving in great leaps and bounds. I haven't seen them offered for sale yet in Australia and was interested if anyone had any exposure to them.

Could this be a new market for Australia given a fairly close proximity to the region.

  • No, not recently but it's worth putting on the watchlist... cheers!
  • Was lucky enough to score a kilo of green from Myanmar yesterday. Very keen to see what they have to offer! A friend who teaches over there at an international school has great contacts with the farm owners sons . Anyways long story short, farm owners son passed my friend a kilo of green which he bought over for me to roast! Declared at customs but they didn't seem to care?
