After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

politics!

Thought i'd risk a bit of political comment - wondered what people think of the current labour party leadership struggle?  Personally i think Kim Beazley's a boring windbag; be interested to know what anyone else thinks...

  • Hi guys - what about the Liberals? Refugees are throwing children over board, until after the election then oops - we may have got our facts wrong...now there's a war over weapons of mass destruction, but hey, there probably weren't any weapons of mass destruction... anyone starting to see a pattern here...tell lies first, then let the facts come out afterwards.
  • Hate to say this but the debates a little mindless currently. The liberals are so far in bed with the Americans that the sheets are stained, they are not gonna show us thatthough. I mean take that Australian Taliban guy, My passport says that the Governer General affords me his protection as an Australian. Yet this guy has been disowned by Australia, thats how crap the government is. We don't even look after our own and no matter wether he throws babies overboard or blows up the pentagon he is an Australian, he is one of ours. The Government has made no representation for him. What a bunch of lieing twofaced windbags. As for labour, Beazley is a liability, Crean is obveously struggling to put 1 and 1 together, they are lost in a miasma of backhanders and back slapping. On the other hand apart from that ijit Meg Lees and some of the other little fish in the Democrats they do at least make some good noises. I think Australia needs to be a republic like a blind man needs walk the grand canyon. We need a bill of rights. These things arn't even on the table. Look at the way the Aboriginal Australians are treated. Bloody disgraceful. Hope thats food for though >:(t...
