Coffee Machine Recomendations

My friend and I are coffee lovers, and we’re planning to start a small coffee business here in Somerton. Since we’re just starting out, our budget is tight and we’re not sure where to buy a coffee machine from a trusted store. We’re considering a refurbished or demo 2‑ or 3‑group machine. Do you think that’s a good choice? Has anyone here used a refurbished or demo machine, and if so, how was your experience? Did you run into any problems after a year of use?

Thank you so much..

  • Hi there! How did the idea work out in the end? Did you end up buying a refurbished or demo machine, and how’s it been so far? Need recommendations.

Hi mate, I recently bought a refurbished machine from coffee machine emporium (coffeemachineemporiumDOTcomDOTau), and I visited their location in person to see how they do the refurbishment process. They did a fantastic job. Every part is checked, and anything faulty is replaced with an original La Marzocco part. The only downside is the wait: the process takes 2-3 weeks, as they source the original parts from La Marzocco and also complete any custom paint you request. The machine was shipped to my brother in Singapore and is running perfectly. I ordered two btw, PB 2 Group and a Classic 3 Group. Price is better than the others with its quality/service. Happy brewing!

I’d consider a demo or refurbished machine if the seller can show its service history and offer some warranty. Just make sure the machine is sized for the number of drinks you expect to serve.

  • Another option is to look at a new machine and lease or rent it, which could make sense when cash is tight. These ones are worth comparing if you want to see what’s available.

I bought refurbished machines from them, and you can visit in person to see how they do the refurbishment process. I'm very satisfied with my purchase, as I saw them working on my machines myself. You can also check out their website, https://coffeemachineemporium.com.au/, which has lots of options, but I suggest seeing everything in person. I especially love how their powder coater perfectly coated the panels in teal green and smoked salmon. They're so skilled at their work, no wonder they're better than the others. Highly recommended!

They also offer a 3-month parts warranty. The only con is the coating process, since you need to wait for their powder coater to finish. At one point, it took two weeks for a machine to arrive in Singapore because of a FedEx delay (not the seller's fault). If you're planning to buy from them, order 2-3 months before your launch date. Happy brewing!
