After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
takes a while to get to the point of this IT story, but the US author recently visited NZ, and (if you read to the end) believes the 'flat white' was invented there.
In keeping with the off topic forum... has anyone ever noticed that when some people order a flat white they ask for a "flat white coffee" as opposed to a "latte coffe"... is there a flat white sandwich?
hahaha yeh i do enjoy those orders. "may i have a coffee please" "certainly" akward silence... but take note when people order a flat white, i find that there are quite a few who specify a flat white coffee
I thought the flat white and all coffee was invented in Italy! ::)
i find that there are quite a few who specify a flat white coffee
I started off drinking flat whites, but I can't fathom why... I guess because I thought lattes were 'poofy'... and now these days I feel 'poofy' if I order anything with milk.
i may not have clearly made my point, i was just trying to outline why people add "coffee" to the end of flat white, but not to any other coffees. ie can i have 2 lattes, 1 flat white coffee and 1 cap
Hi guys - saw on ABC news last night a piece on a new cafe manned by Australians in Soho in London called 'Flat White' - apparently going great guns! -A
