great 'away' cafes

Hi guys - many of you will be away on holiday over the next couple of weeks; here's a thought... any great cafes you come across - post up here!

Well... having camped down at a friends place in Sommers, i=on the Mornington Peninsula, with around 80 mates, and in the absence of any outstanding coffee in the area, I did the next best thing and bought my Bezzera BZ99 single group espresso machine, and a Rocky grinder, along with some single origin Papua Ne Guinea beans, and made coffee for the lot of them! Actually, that's not entirely true, after spending a couple of hours on the machine ea day I thought 'bugger this for a joke!' and trained up some budding espresso heads to work the machine in my absence! Needless to say, it was the perfect holiday break, sun, surf, great food and wine enjoyed with great mates!, and excellent coffee - what more could you ask for? Pat

I'll report on Noosa when I get back after the 21st of Jan ... but before we go, has anyone been there and found a good cafe?

Hey Matty, Unfortunately no good coffee in Noosa. In Hastings street there is Aromas (decent coffee but crap baristas who reply "cleaning the machine???") Also Cafe le Monde (great barista 38 hours every week, but they use Vittoria) However here are some suggestions for good coffee within 10 mins of Noosa: PIONEER COFFEE ROASTERY
