After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

  • Welcome Lovey to the new position - I look forward to joining forces with you for the combined good of the coffee world ! Pat aka ACg
  • well guys, as part of the general site re-furbishment, I've decided to start spreading the moderation duties around and to that end, have invited long-term site members Dry bean and Koffee Kosmo onto the team; at this stage, we'll be dividing the boards up between the four moderators, although that structure may evolve over time... in the meantime, I'd like to welcome Db and KK to their new duties... along those lines, I'd also like to publicly acknowledge the fantastic job ACG [alias Pat] has done over a long time - thanks again Pat! • Congratulations to all moderators. I doff my hat to you as it is unpaid and unloved volunteer work mostly going unnoticed or complained about. I'll do my best to behave myself, much in an 'AM' kinda way  ;D
  • Congrats guys. Though I think we'd better put you through your paces. Try these for starters: I drink instant You should always grind coffee one month before use. Roasting to second crack is for wusses; I'm trying for third Backflush detergent - nah, Drano's cheaper

  • Congrats Dry bean and KK. It's a good thing to have knowledgeable and well respected people overlooking our forum and threads - makes it such a great place to visit and learn from.
  • Hi guys - just a quick one to let you know I've appointed beanflying as our fourth moderator to replace Steve [Lovey] - who was finding work commitments precluded him from spending the time he would have liked on the forum. Thanks to Steve, who looked after things over a relatively short but tricky period and we appreciate the calm hand with which he managed things & of course welcome to Tim!! A
  • Welcome to the Crema mod squad Tim KK
  • Thanks KK & A just happy to help out. As we are a happy little bunch I don't expect to have to use my power to often  ;) Well done to Steve for jumping in for a bit too. I suspect he is also to busy playing with that new grinder. Tim
