After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
G,day everyone.
totally new to the forum to real coffee and to roasting ,
i started on my adventure into real coffee 2 weeks ago with the purchase of my first machine a brand new shiny BZ35 and a bb004 grinder ( already want a second grinder ).
the last few days i have been knocking together some bits to turn some beans from green to brown and half an hour ago i had my first roast and i am happy as a pig in mud with it .
though it may not be great i think its ok for a first try .
i think at the first crack i turned down the heat a little to much not wanting to burn anything ( nerves ) .
i am still not sure if i reached second crack dont think i heard it .
this is what i wrote as i roasted .
