After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Em6910 Dead PCB board Maybe??
Hi everyone, new to your blog site and looking for help for an ageing EM 6910. I was given this recently knowing it had a problem, with the idea of fixing it... HMMMM? Free is always a good start price.
Anyway here is the issue: the last person to use it said it had worked faultlessly for the 3 years of its life until about two days ago, after making a brew it simply stopped steaming and has an intermittent "clicking" that eminates from the PCB (bottom right back). I got it home plugged it in and all the lights do their thing, but yes no steam, plus the steam side appears to get very hot on the body and the "clicking" or tripping sound is very evident. So far I have removed the back and exposed the organs of the wee beast and freed up the PCB board and have traced the tripping or "clicking" sound to a clear rubber casing that holds a component between the large green board and the smaller rear green board (yes I know i am being very technical
)
I have, prior to this, backflushed the machine and cleaned the steam and hot water nozzles. No leakage issue on looking in the back of it. I also wondered if it was a blockage problem or the solenoid??? So if anyone can enlighten me as to what the problem is and if a new PCB board will fix the problem I will be forever grateful.
