After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
Yeah very popular on the old Faema levers... What I was asking AM was what material you were planning on using, can you turn bakelight? Or does it chip and splinter?
I've stood inside your shed AM, with my daughter from memory also. Noticed the painted fibro walls... Decided that the most dangerous aspect to your shed was to my wallet... Now I want a lathe! :thumb:
I know this fella with a couple of lathes. He is overseas, I'm sure he wont mind sharing
He'd probably be most upset about us breaking some fibro to 'borrow' them. I've got heaps of rock stabbing, cutting, grinding and polishing gear inluding the obligatory vibe tumbler. But I want a big vibe lap before I get anything else. Besides, theres no point turning out fabulous woodies and yet having no vibe lap... If thats where your heart lies. Back on topic... Where are all these pics guys???
Yep... never done any pens though :stir. Wife's business: www.rocknwrap.com Would love to do AM style work in stone but don't have large volume gear. Only cab-sized machinery... Thus far... For those great looking levers I'd be investigating fossilized wood and then prepare for aficionado outrage!!!
