After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

It's re-up time

My stash is now blown and I need to make an order.

I'll be looking to get about 8 kilos or so mostly for blending.

Unless Java kalistat has come back into stock.

I has great results with a blend of the Brazill Daterra Estate Sweet with Sumatran Kuda Mas and a dash of central for liveliness. I like richer, stronger espresso flavors with a lot of body, but haven't enjoyed centrals or some African beans a much for their overly 'bright' flavour.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

    Thats what I'm drinking now Kelsey but with a touch of MM for good measure. Ahhh MM, is there nothing you dont blend with  :rofl: Ive also got a blend of PNG robusta, Yirga, and blue batak - goes well

    D: I usually throw a bit of MM into that blend for good measure too. I really enjoyed it - I'm guessing you are too? Richard: Not yet, but I'm not in any hurry. The BZ99 might not be 100% to my liking, but I'm really getting the hang of the steam and liking not having to prime the boiler.

    I've just done a BG order and can vouch for the Colombian Bachue and a special surprise... I grabbed some of the cheap $8 Guatemalan and man they are great already only two days post.  I'm a big fan of the Finca El Carmen and the Blue Batak for an Indo that plays nice with others.

    Yup, enjoying it. My bigger problem is too many beans on the go = many grinder settings and forgetting what was what = a bit of waste to dial in for each bean/blend. Now, a more organised man would write it down. Let me know if you find one :rofl:

    Hi mate, I'm at a bit of an impasse because of trying to run down my stash to keep it all a bit fresher.  I've been using a four-bean blend of Costa Rican Tarrazu, Blue Batek, PNG Robusta and Ethopian Djimah.  Roasted med dark it's very ummmm big.  Think less kapow and more sucker-punch.  I had a killer blend of: Finca el Carmen, Java Kalistat, blue Batak and CR Herbazzu. A good medium roast this is now almost gone 2weeks post and is superb.

    Sounds great - I wonder what would be a good substitute for the Kalistat now that it's unobtainable?
