After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

What's wrong with this picture?

Problem 1) Your Kettle and Coffee machine will be drawing more than 2400W out of the powerpoint Problem 2) You need a new grinder Problem 3) Your portafilter handle for your two spout doesn't match the handle for the naked Problem 4) The machine is too shiny. The wife might finally notice it's not the same one :D
  • Dont tease me Just make a coffee will ya And it's a PID machine KK
  • +1 for you need a new grinder!
  • Easy - there is no coffee to be had..........
  • The red cups are clashing with the blue LED's and the blue BZ cloth ? The PID should be set at 93 or 94 ? The plastic hanging hooks are going to rip your paint off the wall - perhaps losing some of your bond ? Is the grinder supposed to be ON ? The grinder is way too clean - oh look you have no beans ?
  • your naked portafilter is missing a basket and your coffee towel is too clean? no room to dial in the grind? boiler temp too low I'm a 95C man myself? Oh and great looking machine btw - the group head looks awesome!
    • [li]Not enough wood[/li] [li]Need new grinder[/li] [li]No coffee in sight[/li] [li]Angle of double spout on PF[/li]
Nothing wrong with 92 degrees  :coffee2:
  • Those dodgy stick on wall hooks are hardly befitting of the Magic blue cloth and.....no tamper stand of course :D

    1) True, but it's rarely a problem 2) I beg to differ!! :D 3) You're on track with this one..... 4) My machines were always shiny!

Would you believe I've only got the one 58mm double basket? Gotta remedy that! There's room to dial it in.... just! I'm still experimenting with temps.... Thanks - I love the look of it.

I was wondering if it was possible to adjust the LED colour... I've seen this model PID with red.... Your mention of temperature inspired me to play a little this morning... made a subtle, very pleasant difference to the brew, thanks! Hooks - I hope not! Even so, we generally do a spot of repainting before we leave a place. No... grinder turns itself off.... and plenty of beans - my better half demands they be hidden away and not clutter up the place!

    I'd *like* a Vario..... but that's not it... ;)

You and Richard are right on track about the one thing I had in mind, the grinder will do, the coffee's just hidden and you're right, the angle of the spouts must be fixed!

D - I need a coffee organisational stand before anything else!
  • It can be done :thumb:
  • Wall hook is crooked.
  • Thunder, those things *are* a bugger to align!

These days laser alignment is used  :stir KK

No, I think the hooks are straight, but the wall isn't  ;)
  • In this place, that's all too possible!! The landlord is a bit of a cheapskate!
  • Think you can 'borrow' one for me?
  • So what is it?  You didn't sneeky upgrade again did you?
  • My real guess is - 1) You have broken another Barazi cup One is missing 2) The Grinder hopper lid has had a hole cut in it Should look like this bcg800xl157.jpg KK

    So soon ? :-X
  • No, no - no more upgrades for a while and the cups have held up well.... A couple of others have been on the right track, let me give an additional very very obvious clue: [attachimg=1]
  • I thought Muscles covered the " not enough wood" angle earlier
  • Apart from my above answer I see One Power Point switch is off And what is that copper round thing in front of the grinder Its just in hidden surprise range One wood toggle one plastic toggle

I was after the level of specificity that KK has just provided....  :stir Although wood was mentioned several times. I didn't think about the fact that my old machine only had the ONE TAP when I went to put this on the bench!  (That copper round thing is the cheapest non-plastic tamper in existence... )
  • Hooray  AM you have another turning job hint hint KK
  • Looks nice, but you need some more done! ;) AM does a great job eh.  I love my timber knobs and levers. :)
  • I know, it's just not right with all that plastic!
  • Hmm, all i can say is mis matched items? Cups are not the same branding. Handles are not matching. ie. Naked is wood, the one on the machine is black plastic. The difference i can see in the second shot is the mis matched steam and brew switches. Grinder is consumer. machine is Prosumer.
  • That's the one! :'( It was pretty tough getting hold of mango wood last time - is there any left?  :-* I'll PM you with another question tho...
