After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Adelaide Coffee Card

My second coffee project is now underway - Adelaide Coffee Card.

Saw it was done overseas and had to do it here. They call it a disloyality card but i just couldnt use that name so went with the obvious - Adelaide Coffee Card. I've also seen online that it has been done in Australia but i couldnt find any where that has.??

So what happens is that instead of having a coffee card specific to one cafe, this one covers 8 different cafes and you get your free one once its been stamped the 8 times. I think we often get stuck in a routine where we tend to visit the same cafes so this card is designed to change that and also give a good level quality coffee.

I've also added a voting form so users can vote for fav coffee. Organizing a few prizes as we go along as well...

  • Excellent idea! I'll pick up a card next week. A good excuse to try cafes I haven't been to yet ...
  • Yep, great concept. Only thing I would suggest is the free coffee comes from your favourite cafe.  :thumb: That may happen to be where the card originated from or maybe not

If we had a situation where customers mostly liked one cafe then that place would have a unfair amount of free coffees it would have to do so to be fair to all cafes the free coffee had to be spread out and this is allocated by where the card is activated.
  • Excellent point. Then again, a small price to pay for such good marketing feedback. Even giving away 200 free coffees would be well worth it I'd think - and tax deductible too
  • Looks interesting, and a good idea..l :thumb:  I might grab one, but it's hard to spend $$ on coffee when lots of places don't make coffee as good as one can make at home  :stir
