After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

I needed to ,I had to and I did. After much reading I roasted 650grm of Panama Gallardo Est. Giesha. With tongue in cheek I preheated KKHG to 170deg then loaded .Temp dropped and I added medium heat and low fan to give a gentle roast. With some heat only adjustments the beans reached ist C at 207deg in 10min and went gently to 223deg in 16min resulting in a beautiful CS8 brown,no 2ndC. From the sealed bag, while resting comes a sweet roasted aroma . Waiting for comments from my Son on flavor . Attached are beans in cooler.

Roasted up 1kg of Ethiopian; unknown which as I forgot to write the name on the bag when I bought it a while back... Had a bit of a surprise while cooling it though. I vac'd out the beans into the cooler, and was turning them over in the colander when up pops a little gecko, roasted medium rare by the look of it. He was still in one piece so I'm guessing it was hiding in the vac pipe. I dare not tell the missus or she won't drink the coffee . We'll see if there are any meaty flavours.
