After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Wow, this thread has died a little. I'm going to revive it. Last night my wife saw "date logs" at the supermarket, and I told her they were too expensive, and I'd make them myself: Ingredients: 1 cup almonds 1 cup pecans 1/2 cup dessicated coconut 2 cups dates 1t vanilla essence 90g pistachios, crushed Blend almonds, pecans, coconut in food processor until fine crumbs. Add cup of dates and vanilla essence. Roll into logs, then roll in crushed pistachios, and press in. Refrigerate indefinitely. Delicious.
