After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
What's your TV/Hi-FI setup?
When you've made that lovely :coffee2: and sit down to enjoy it .. watch TV or listen to music .. what gear are you currently using?
What would you like to upgrade to? .. and what sort of space is it setup in?
*Mine is a mixed bag all purchased on eBay.
I have 4 setups - lounge, 2 in bedroom and downstairs sunroom .. that I only watch in Summer.
Lounge-room
TV - Panasonic widescreen 34'' 100 Hz Crt (2002) .. purchased in 2008.
Receiver - Denon AVR-3802 (2002) 7x110w/pc (8ohm)
DVD - Onkyo Super Audio DV SP-502
PVR - Topfield SD TF5000
Speakers - Fronts - Jensen, center - B&W, surrounds - Energy (Canada), 2 x Jensen (USA) subwoofers - 10'' and 2x 8''
The lounge-room is L shaped whereby lounge, dining & kitchen are all one space. The 10'' subwoofer is positioned to project the low bass throughout the area.
When listening to music, rather than traditional stereo .. I prefer the 5 channel stereo setting on my Denon.
I did have the 7 channels working once .. but disconnected the rear two .. as when playing music .. the sound from the rear 2 speakers, especially the bass .. did not sound right.
Bedroom
TV - Philips widescreen 100Hz 32'' 32PW8808 (2003)
Receiver - Onkyo TX SR574 - 7x80w/pc
PVR - Strong SD SRT 5392
DVD - Pioneer DV344
Speakers: fronts - Wharfedale, centre - Energy, surrounds - cheapies.
Also have a small setup for High Definition
TV - 17'' monitor .. Pioneer amp, Topfield HD PVR and Mission (Eng) bookshelf speakers.
Sunroom
TV - Philips widescreen 100Hz 32'' 32PW8808 (2003)
Receiver - Pioneer TX - SR574 5x 100w
PVR - Topfield SD TF-4000T
Speakers: fronts - Wharfedale
I love the picture quality of my Crt TVs .. although I would like to have a huge HD screen on my lounge-room wall eventually.

My TV/Hi-Fi setup is centered around a smart TV connected to a soundbar and a compact speaker system for better audio clarity during movies and live sports. For streaming, I occasionally test different apps and platforms to compare content quality and performance. One option that has worked well on Android TV devices is tele latino Apk, especially for users looking for a broader range of entertainment sources. Audio quality and network stability make a noticeable difference in the overall experience, and anyone interested in setup tips, installation details, or feature comparisons can see the full guide before deciding whether it fits their viewing preferences.
