After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

how good is the Australian made Boema coffee machi

I have seen Boema machines at several cafes, can anyone tell me their experiences with this brand.

  • i cant imagine that this machine would be australian made - surely they're built in italy and then shipped across?

Australian made no sure but looks like from some imported parts
  • hi boema meets the aus made standard the boiler, steam and hot water valves, non return valve, boiler safety valve, pipework, framework and covers are made in aust. the groups, handles, electronics, switches and the pump is imported from italy and assembled in aust the only advancement in the last 15 odd years has been cosmetic from a service view they are not as good as most european machines. the steam and hot water valves, non return valve, boiler safety valve and pipework, let them down the machines are supplied with a cheap inline filter. (in saying this they do give the buyer a choice of spending more for a quality everpure filter) boema sell lots of machines due to there marketing. not the quality they have probably the quickest spare parts delivery but without the accuracy
